Altocamet on Tour this Summer! US and MX dates! Shoegaze + Dream Pop from Argentina!

This July:
ALTOCAMET will be visiting the US and Mexico in a one of a kind tour!
Altocamet is an Argentine electronic pop band, with post rock, chillwave and shoegaze influences. The band will be traveling to celebrate the release of their "Más Allá" album in a double vinyl format. This international tour will take them to the Mexican capital and some of the most iconic cities in the U.S. This tour is also part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the band.

After a first show in the historic Lower East Side of Manhattan (NY), Altocamet will do a showcase at Ruido Fest in Chicago, where they’ll be sharing the stage with other notable latin acts such as Natalia Lafourcade, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, La Ley, Maldita Vecindad, and Aterciopelados. They will also take part in the famed Part Time Punks in LA, being the first hispanic band to take part in this show, which unites fans of shoegaze, dream pop, post punk and new wave on the west coast.

During the tour Altocamet will be sharing the stage with many upcoming bands from here in the US such as PaleDīan, The Stargazer Lilies, Stellarscope, and more. The tour has shows in Manhattan and Brooklyn (NY), New Jersey, Chicago, Dallas, Miami and Mexico City.

This trip is also to promote their acclaimed album "Más Allá", out on a double vinyl format by Casa Del Puente Discos. The album presents 10 elegant and melancholic tracks, with touches of post rock and electronic music in a pop setting . It features amazing guests such as Dante Spinetta and Richard Coleman. The album comes of as a dark trip-hop, slow and enigmatic.

Having packed their bags already, they’ll also be using this trip as a chance to master their next live album with Greg Calbi (at Sterling Sound in New York), recorded in a series of shows commemorating the 20 years of the band last September. This new album will be out in the second half of 2016.

About Altocamet:

The band is formed by Adrián “Canu” Valenzuela on vocals and guitars, Pedro Moscuzza on drums and Mariana Monjeau on keyboards. On this tour we will also be seeing Lautaro Minich and Emi Mendez as guest bass and guitars respectively.

Altocamet visitará Estados Unidos y México en una gira única e irrepetible!

Este mes de Julio:
ALTOCAMET visitará USA y México con una gira única e irrepetible!

ALTOCAMET es una banda argentina de pop electrónico con influencias post rock, dub, chillwave y shoegaze. La banda cruzará fronteras para celebrar el lanzamiento de su disco Más Allá en formato vinilo doble. El grupo realizará una gira internacional que los llevará a la capital Mexicana y a recorrer por primera vez las ciudades más importantes de Estados Unidos. El tour es también parte de la celebración de los 20 años de ALTOCAMET.

Después de un primer show en el histórico Lower East Side de Nueva York, ALTOCAMET se presentará en RUIDO FEST (Chicago) donde compartirá escenario con destacadas bandas y artistas latinos como Natalia Lafourcade, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, La Ley, Maldita Vecindad y Aterciopelados, entre muchos otros. También formarán parte de la reconocida fiesta Part Time Punks en Los Ángeles, siendo la primer banda de habla hispana en actuar en este prestigioso escenario. Esta fiesta reúne a los amantes del shoegaze, dream pop , post punk y new wave en la costa oeste.

En este tour el grupo se presentará junto a nombres emergentes de Norteamérica como PaleDīan, The Stargazer Lilies, Stellarscope y más. El tour incluye shows en Manhattan, Brooklyn, New Jersey, Los Ángeles, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami y Ciudad de México.

Este viaje es en parte para promocionar su exitoso disco Más Allá, editado por la discográfica Casa del Puente en un vinilo doble y coleccionable. El álbum presenta diez piezas de cuidada elegancia y melancolía, canciones con atisbos de post-rock, muchos climas y ambientes en clave electrónica, sin alejarse del formato y sonido pop. Con invitados de lujo de importante trayectoria, como Dante Spinetta y Richard Coleman, el disco presenta una especie de trip hop oscuro, enigmático y lento; bien logrado en un tema colaborativo imperdible.

Habiendo ya empacado las valijas, aprovecharán la ocasión para masterizar, junto a Greg Calbi en Sterling Sound (Nueva York), las canciones del próximo disco en vivo acerca de los shows conmemorativos realizados en Septiembre, 2015 al cumplirse 20 años de carrera, que se editará en la segunda mitad del 2016.



Sobre Altocamet:

Astari Nite comparte video de "Always Like Yesterday"

La banda indie rock, dark wave Astari Nite, acaba de lanzar el video para su tema “Always Like Yesterday” , que será incluido en su segundo LP, Until the End of the Moon.

El video, dirigido por Photohouse Productions, muestra a la banda viajando y tocando en vivo. “Es un montaje que combina imágenes de algunos de nuestros shows en Alemania y algunas ideas inspiradas en cuentos de hadas. Es como un viaje en el tiempo. La canción tiene un valor sentimental para mi relacionado a una persona a la que amo personalmente”, dice el cantante Mychael Ghost.

“Always like Yesterday” combina melodías de guitarra alegres que recuerdan por momentos a The Smiths con instrumentación indie rock y voces oscuras. La canción, lanzada el 25 de Diciembre pasado, será incluida en el segundo disco de la banda, Until the End of the Moon, que saldrá el 13 de Mayo por el sello Dance Macabre Records.

Astari Nite anunciará pronto las fechas de un tour por la costa Este de los Estados Unidos.

El grupo, nacido en 2008 en Miami, está formado por Mychael Ghost (voz), Illia Tulloch (Batería), M. Sallons (Bajo), Michael Setton (Guitarra) y Howard Melnick (Guitarra). Actualmente pertenecen Dance Macabre Records (Alemania).

Venezuelan post rock combo Tan Frío El Verano will be at SXSW 2016!

Post rock, IDM and noise are combined in Tan Frío el Verano's second LP, Otoño (“Autumn”). This album explores into the harsh corners of dark electronic, sound design and live instrumentation, creating an atmosphere and textures that mark a rapid evolution from their previous album, Primavera (“Spring”).

The group’s releases are based in a concept / story that began when four timeless authorities decided to incarnate in human skin: Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer.

Tan Frío el Verano is an audiovisual collective from Venezuela born in 2007. The group experiments with elements such as photography, short film projections, illustration, digital design and live visual performance.

They started as a three piece and by now they are a super band leaded by Rafael García (programming, synths, melodies, vocoder), Carlos Sánchez (bass, guitars, synths, trumpet), Diego Blanco (VJ) and Luis Edgardo Herrera (art director). The new players are John Guarenas (Synth, Vocals), Humberto Isea (guitars) and Carlos Astros (drums).

So far the band has released Invierno EP (“Winter”) and their debut LP Primavera, besides a compilation with fellow underground musicians from Venezuela. Primavera was distributed around the world and received many awards including a nomination for the Latin Grammy’s.

After a year of work and moving to Buenos Aires, Argentina, Tan Frío el Verano dropped their second LP, Otoño , out on Scatter Records. The new musical palette of the group shows darker sounds with deep influences of industrial and glitch.

Tan Frío el Verano will visit the U.S. early next year with a special performance at SXSW 2016.
